Besides NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) only AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Science) and JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research) have been allowed to conduct separate Medical Examination. NEET is a single entrance test for taking admission into various medical colleges of India. It will be conducted by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). NEET will replace AIPMT, BHU, AFMC, AMU and all other state medical exams from 2013 except AIIMS and JIPMER. The application form of JIPMER for undergraduate MBBS course is available on its official website.

1) Go to www.jipmer.edu.in
2) Fill the registration form by providing correct information like name, contact number, email id. On successful registration you will receive user id and password for logging into JIPMER website on your mobile. Your email id will serve as your user id so always give correct email id.
3) After successful registration click on proceed button and on next screen you need to fill your personal details like parents name, address for correspondence, religion, category, school details, school address etc.
4) After submitting personal details you need to upload your photograph and signature whose size should be less than 250 kb. Photograph should be uploaded with placard.
5) Then click on generate challan button. You can pay the examination fee
from any branch of SBI.6) After payment confirmation login and choose your exam center. On next screen you will get the preview of your application form. This is the last chance to make corrections in your details. If you are satisfied then click on submit button.
7) Click on generate application and take a printout of the application form for the future reference.
Important points:
1) Application and exam fee for UR and OBC students is Rs 1000 and for SC and ST students it is Rs 800.
2) Last date for the online registration of application form is 04-05-2013 till 5 pm
3) JIPMER examination would be conducted on 2 June (Sunday)
4) There are 141 seats in JIPMER for the MBBS course
